Time flies! The year 2022 is arriving on time. On the occasion of the New Year as we wave goodbye to the past and embrace the future, I wish to extend, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, our sincerest greetings and best wishes to the people of Thailand and fellow Chinese in Thailand!
Magnificent and glorious is our 100-year journey! The year 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The past 100 years witnessed the CPC leading the Chinese people of all ethnic groups in blazing the right path for achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and writing the most magnificent chapter in the millennia-long history of the Chinese nation through tenacious endeavors and arduous struggle with unyielding determination. Today’s China has achieved the First Centenary Goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and embarked on a new journey toward the Second Centenary Goal of building a great modern socialist country in all respects. China and Thailand are good neighbors, good partners, good friends and good relatives. The comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between our two countries continues to develop and the China-Thailand kinship is deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of our two peoples. The past year saw our two countries stood together and supported each other in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Genuineness is revealed in adversity. Withstanding the severe test of the pandemic, the China-Thailand friendship has been further bolstered and the driving force of mutually beneficial cooperation has become even more robust.
Striving is the only way forward for the long journey ahead. The year 2022 is a critical year for the Chinese people to endeavor towards the Second Centenary Goal, during which the 20th National Congress of the CPC will be grandly held and unremitting efforts will be constantly made to bravely advance for realizing the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation. Under the guidance of the Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, China’s diplomacy will continue to strive towards the goal of building a community with a shared future for mankind and China will join hands with the rest of the world to build a much better Earth home. In the New Year, the China-Thailand relationship will constantly nurture thriving vigor and strong impetus in solidarity and cooperation and jointly overcome difficulties. Both the respective development and friendly cooperation of our two countries will usher in greater opportunities. China is willing to continue to work with Thailand for strengthened cooperation to promote the new progress of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between our two countries. I believe that China and Thailand will surely enjoy a greater bilateral relationship and a brighter future as long as we work together, share weal and woe, eliminate interference and make unremitting efforts.
